THE MISTAKE WE DID IS NOT SHOWING THE DIFFERENT BETWEEN HIV AND AIDS

Ghana Aids Commission celebrate their 20th Anniversary to mark 2022 world Aids day and the national media launch.
The theme is 20 years of a multi-sectoral HIV response: Accelerating progress to end Aids.

According to Director general of GAC
Dr. Kyeremeh Atuahene speak to the media the reason why they are celebrating this numerous even is to remember those who have lost their lives through HIV Aids disease.

The aim is to fight and clear this evilish disease till the end of 2030, however this is the target they are looking forward too.
He added that as pregnant women and children they will make sure they are all protected.

As this very November month is the only month is been giving to celebrate such a day and also to create an aware for the people living in this country and to the whole world.

He concluded that it’s very important to protect your selves by using condoms and this is the reason why they introduce what is called Condom activation in all the 16 regions of Ghana.

The president of Ghana HIV and AIDS NETWORK (GHANET) Mr Ernest Amoabeng Ortsin spoke to Ohene Kwadwo Alidjah on how important it is to celebrate such a memorial day.

He also spoke on stigmatisation and how best we can avoid this behaviour when ever we meet people with HIV symptoms, he said the very mistake they did was that initially they couldn’t teach the public the difference between HIV and AIDS however if anyone who suffering from HIV it look as if the person is suffering from Aids this has taken away the people from this patients.
