Joe Ghartey Picks NPP Presidential Nomination form
Former Attorney-General, Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament and Railways and Development Minister, Joe Ghartey has once again joined the race to contest the presidential race of the governing New Patriotic Party.
A delegation comprising his campaign team members picked the forms on his behalf on Thursday, June 1, at the party’s headquarters at Asylum Down in Accra.
Speaking to the media, a member of the campaign team, Majeed Adam, said Mr Ghatey is ready for a victory because he has the backing of the grassroots.
He noted that if the former Minister wins the race, Ghanaians are assured of a new direction and leadership that will not only restore their confidence in the country, but also strengthen the economy and change the narrative of Ghana’s politics.“The leadership of our time will lead to development. It must be seen as transformational rather than transitional. It is not just a matter of the fact that President Akufo-Addo is leaving and somebody must wear his shoes. We need a competent leader to wear his shoes so that Ghana will be better off than what we are seeing today,”
