EGP discusses debt exchange programme, 2023 budget statement at public forum

Prof. Godferd A Bokpin acknowledges the team of researchers as he presents the public forum on Ghana’s Debt Exchange 2023 Budget program.

The EGP hosted the poblic forum on Ghana’s Debt Exchange for a forum to discuss and analyse the 2023 budget and the debt exchange programme.

According to Prof. Godferd A Bokpin 2023 Budget Review, a detailed analysis of the 2023 budget statement. Topics covered included key global challenges, fiscal development and targets, monetary and financial sector developments, sectorial review (spanning industrial, services, and agricultural sectors), and international trade payments.

There was also a section on the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and Debt Restructuring, which, among other things, discussed the topical issue of the debt exchange programme.

Spearheaded by the Economist & Prof of finance, UGBS of EGP with the media as the primary target audience, the EGP post-budget review provide an important platform to share objective and independent analysis of the government of Ghana’s account of national fiscal performance, educate the public and proffer recommendations aimed at achieving stronger fiscal and social and economic outcomes.
