Data Protection Commission Urges Stakeholders to Enforce Compliance .

The data protection commission this afternoon brought to an end a week long annual celebration with a call on stakeholders to enforce compliance .
The objectives of the week long celebration is to;

Highlight the achievement of the data protection commission, announce the presence of the commission in Ashanti region, raising awareness and promoting privacy and best data protection practices and to share a collaborative front with peer regulators within the eco system .

Speaking to the media in Accra today, Mrs Patricia Adusei-Poku, who is the Executive director of Data Protection Commission(DPC), said it is about time that corporate institutions and all stakeholders protect the data of their client;

On her part, the deputy communications minister, honorable Ama Pomaa Boateng, disclosed that her ministry will collaborate with the commission to embark on processes that will help stakeholders to comply with what ever the commission brings about to make the digitization agenda a reality.

The weeklong activity that started in Kumasi and climax in Accra was on the theme: “Data Governance for a Safe Digitized Space”.
