AAC MCE YAW KWAKYE EMBARKS ON REFUSE EVACUATION – BEGINS WITH ODUMASE ZONGO.
Hon. Robert Yaw Kwakye, MCE for Asante Akyem Central Municipality has waded a fight against waste and pollution in Konongo. He has therefore directed the evacuation of refuse in Odumase, Patriensa and other areas. 
Residents of Konongo Odumase Zongo however, have expressed satisfaction over the removal of a long strained refuse stating that, the move will help restore cleanliness in various communities.
According to the residents, the refuse has been a threat due to the unbearable odour and mosquitoes migrating from the debris of water materials including polythene and human excreta.
However, Deputy Engineer for the Assembly, Mr. Isaac Hayford reiterated that, the refuse which is close to Barika posed a serious health threat, and therefore having received numerous complaints from the Assembly member and Chiefs called on the MCE to fix the challenge.
Environmental officer, Mr. Robert Darko on his part said the exercise will help resolve all health threats which the refuse posed. He thanked the MCE for his resolve to evacuate refuse all refuse within the municipality.
