This anticipated event, scheduled for 19-21 March 2024 at the Accra International Conference Centre, is held in conjunction with the Food & Beverage Ghana Foodpack Tech Ghana exhibition and operates under the auspices of the Ministry of Food and Agriculture and the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Ghana.
The Expo encompasses the entire agriculture value chain, with approximately 100 companies from India, South Africa, Turkey, Nigeria, Ghana, America, Europe, and other regions showcasing a diverse range of products.
These include agrochemicals, agriculture technology, irrigation, biofeeds, food processing and packaging technologies, food innovation, as well as processed and packed food & beverage items.
Thomas James, Project Director of AgricTech West Africa, emphasized that this edition aims to serve as a platform for farmers and producers to engage in impactful business-to-business discussions, exploring opportunities such as joint ventures, trading, importation, distributions, and exports.
Dr. Joseph Obeng, President of GUTA, urged organizers to extend such exhibitions to other countries, providing Ghanaian producers in Agribusiness with a global stage to exhibit their products.
He highlighted the event’s alignment with Ghana’s government commitment to value-added agriculture and targeted food production.
The upcoming expo will feature seminars and conferences running concurrently over two days, facilitating discussions on innovations, ideas, and current issues in the agricultural sector.
The target audience includes government representatives, ministries, departments, agencies, commercial farmers groups, research institutions, trade associations, and chambers of commerce.
Encouraging participation, Mr. Tanko, the Public Relations Officer at the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, affirmed that previous editions have enabled farmers and manufacturers to showcase their products globally, fostering the integration of new technologies into farms and processing.
