UCMAS Ghana Holds 13th Edition Of Its National Competition At Kasoa

The Universal concept of mental arithmetic system ( UCMAS) a professional organization dedicated to developing the intellect of children, has held its 13th. edition of national competition.

Mr Girish Gurbani Director, Maurya Education Limited has emerged the winner of the 13th. national Universal Concept of Mental Arithmetic System (UCMAS) Listening Competition.

The programme, was held at the pentecost convention center at the kasoa in Central region brought together about 2,500 children who competed for the top honours.They’re also have the opportunity to compete at the international event in India.

According to the UCMAS Ghana Limited, Mr. Girish Gurbani Director, Maurya Education Limited said, the programme developed the brains of the children during their formative years, which is from five to 14 years.

“It is our aim to eradicate the fear of Mathematics from all Ghanaian children; boost their confidence, enhance their listening skills, and improve their creativity,” he said.

Maxwell Aidoo Area manager, Tema Community 25. said the children were made to answer 200 arithmetic questions within eight minutes which was to test their speed, confidence, concentration, listening and comprehension skills, as well as photographic memory within the period of their training.

Maxwell Aidoo Area manager, for Tema Community 25. urged parents to enrol their children in the UCMAS classes and monitor them while they practised.

Maxwell Aidoo Area manager, Tema Community 25 told the Media that he was surprised at this achievement because that was the 13th. time he had taken part in that high-level competition.
