In a notable display of support for the NDC’s electoral campaign in the Tema Central and Tema West constituencies, prominent senior elders from Church Street, including Professor Kwamina Ahwoi, Hon. Kwame Peprah, and Ambassador Sylvanus Tamakloe, made significant donations to bolster the efforts of the two parliamentary candidates (PCs) on Friday afternoon. With the December 7, 2024 elections approaching, the contributions were a timely boost to the campaign infrastructure in these constituencies.
The donation event, held around 4:00 PM, saw Professor Ahwoi, Hon. Peprah, and Ambassador Tamakloe present 400 customized, branded NDC T-shirts and four projectors.
These resources are expected to strengthen outreach efforts and enhance visibility for the NDC in both Tema Central and Tema West, key battleground constituencies in the Greater Accra Region.
As the NDC aims to expand its representation by securing three additional parliamentary seats in Greater Accra, both Tema West and Tema Central have emerged as strategic constituencies with high winning potential.
The Church Street leaders, with support from the CS PF team, have committed themselves to providing ongoing assistance to the local campaigns, both materially and strategically.
Jeremiah Maclean, also known as Jnr JM and serving as President of CS PF, led the team from Church Street to coordinate with the parliamentary candidates and their teams, emphasizing sustained grassroots engagement. CS PF, under his leadership, has already been active in Tema Central and Tema West, participating in recent health walks and rally events and lending critical support in campaign planning and mobilization.
In a brief but heartfelt ceremony, the parliamentary candidates, accompanied by their respective constituency chairmen, expressed their deep gratitude to Professor Ahwoi, Hon. Peprah, Ambassador Tamakloe, and the entire Church Street street family for their invaluable support. They acknowledged the resources as instrumental for their campaigns and expressed optimism in the collaborative efforts.
Mr. Maclean also took the opportunity to call for closer collaboration between CS PF and the local candidates, urging them to open their doors to allow seamless teamwork in the crucial days ahead. “Working together, we can secure these seats for the great NDC. Let’s make this a victory that resonates with the hopes of our communities,” Maclean stated.
With the stakes high in Greater Accra, the involvement of senior NDC leaders, coupled with strong local campaign support, has created a robust foundation for success in Tema Central and Tema West. This latest show of solidarity signals the party’s commitment to securing these constituencies and amplifying its representation in the upcoming parliamentary term.
