RTI COMMISSION LAUNCHES ITS RTI WEEK 2022
The Right to Information Commission launched its Right to Information Week Celebration for the year 2023.
The Boad Chairman, Justices (RTD) K.A.Ofori Atta , in his address to the press indicated that the Board of the Right to Information Commission in 2021 instituted an annual RTI Week celebration decked with noteworthy activities.
According to the Boad Chairman the objective of the Right to information month is to sustain the awareness creation that the commission has embarked upon and improve the deliberative platforms provided for the implementation of the law to be the practices that has helped some pioneers of the RTI law to be successful in their jurisdiction.
The celebration he said offers the commission an opportunity to interact and engage with it’s stakeholders section 45 of the right to information Act, 2019 (989) mandates the commission to promote and sustain awareness within the country and collaborate with other state institutions to educate the public.
The theme for this year celebration “RTI Month celebration is “The importance of the Online Space for access to information”.
In view of this, the Deputy Chairperson Mrs Elizabeth Asare outline Commissions 3nd RTI Week with the following activities;
