Post- election security: Police deepen security to maintain law and order
Ghana’s security agencies have moved into the post-election security phase, implementing additional measures to maintain peace, security, law, and order
The Ghana Police Service and the other security agencies under the national election Security Task Force continue to work around the globe to ensure peace, security, law and order in our country.
According to ACP Grace Ansah Akrofi, Director of Public Affairs, said, Over the past 24 hours, there’s not been any major security incident across the country without four edge the general public go about your normal socio economic activities without any worries at all, as the police and the other security agencies implement strategies to ensure that there is safety and there is protection of life and property across the country.
She said, the police would also like to inform you that the 123 people arrested so far in connection with various incidents are being taken through the due process of the law.
She said, 49 of the suspects arrested so far have been processed for court. 16 of them have been granted court bill, while 33 have been remanded into police and prison custody to reappear before the court at later dates,
seventhy of the suspect have also been granted police inquiry bill in compliance with the constitutional requirements.
The four other suspects who have been arrested within the past 24 hours are currently in police custody and will be put before the court tomorrow.

Abraham Anan is in good health and is with his family, and he’s also in contact with the police. We therefore urge the public to disregard the misinformation and disinformation concerning his whereabouts.
