The General Secretary of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Frimpong Kodua, on Tuesday November 14, marked his birthday with a heartfelt gesture, as he presented a generous donation to the Maternity Unit of the Korle-bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH).
The donation, comprising assorted items such as toiletries, baby formulas, pampers, bottle drinking water, diapers, and wipes for babies, was accompanied by a substantial cash contribution of GH100,000.
This monetary assistance is intended to alleviate the financial burden faced by nursing mothers detained at the Ward due to their inability to cover their medical bills after childbirth.
Touching on the motive behind his benevolence, Mr Frimpong Kodua shared that this act of giving back to society on his birthday is a personal tradition.
He emphasised that, after careful consideration and survey, he chose Korle Bu Teaching Hospital as the beneficiary for this year’s donation.
Despite expressing a preference for anonymous charity, Mr. Frimpong Kodua hopes that showcasing such philanthropy will motivate individuals to contribute to the betterment of their communities.
