NPP ARE BETTER MANAGERS OF THE ECONOMY THAN NDC — DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATION

The Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP ) Mr Richard Ahiagbah has said the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) is a better manager of the economy than the National Democratic Party (NDC).

He noted that the NDC can not be better managers of the economy than the NPP. Indicating that, data and analysis have shown the NPP administration has done tremendously well in tackling recessions and has shown consistent economic performance.

“This NPP government has not mismanaged the economy. Anybody who tells you that and you dare believe that then you are failing to appreciate the data we have shown you. Under the NPP on all fronts, the economy grew and perform well and Ghanaians were given the real sector performance until the destruction in our lives by Covid-19 in this country”.

In a press conference responding to claims

by the National Democratic party (NDC) communication officers that the NPP government has mismanaged the economy, Mr. Richard Ahiagbah said that claims are false and cannot be supported backed by evidence.

The NDC, by contrast, has always been the party that disproportionately presides over a shrinking economy. According to Mr Ahiagbah, despite the challenges faced by the current government, it has managed the economy better than the previous NDC John Dramani Mahama’s administration.

Again, Mr Richard Ahiagbah stated that the NPP is ready for the formal president John Dramani Mahama in the 2024 general elections.

He said Ghanaians witnessed extreme hardships under the Mahama administration.

“We are ready for him, we are interested in how we can build the economy. What we are interested in is whether or not he has the solution because we saw him vanquished gains that he got, we saw him collapse our economy, we saw him collapse our banking sector, we saw him cause Ghanaians to live in absolute difficulties in this country without electricity, ” Mr Ahiagbah said at a press conference reacting to Mr Mahama’s decision to pick the forms to contest for the NDC flagbearer position of the party.

Former Rector of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) Professor Joshua Alabi picked the nomination forms on behalf of Mr Mahama, on Wednesday at party headquarter in Accra.
