GALAMSEY MENACE AND BOOST INVESTMENT
The Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah,MP on Thursday, 20th February 2025 met with Innovative Food Stakeholders, an American group to discuss investment opportunities in the country’s land, forestry, agriculture,
and mining sectors.
The purpose of the meeting was to promote Ghana as a viable destination for investors, despite challenges
posed by illegal mining.
According to the Minister, Ghana’s thriving democracy, strong governance framework, and reputation as a leading destination for natural resources make it an attractive location for investment. He emphasized that the government is committed to tackling issues in the mining and land sectors, creating a suitable environment for investors to strive.
The Minister highlighted the abundance of investment opportunities in the mining,forestry, Land and agriculture, sectors, with the
government focusing on value addition to the country’s natural rich resources.
He expressed confidence that H.E John Dramani Mahama’s government measures put in place will effectively address the galamsey menace, which has hindered the country’s progress.
The country’s determination to industrialize and promote sustainable development makes it an exciting opportunity for investors
and partners alike.
