East Legon accident: Salifu Amoako’s son under heavy police guard
The son of Prophet Salifu Amoako, Elrad Salifu Amoako, is currently under heavy police guard at the hospital where he’s receiving treatment following the fatal East Legon accident that claimed the lives of two 12-year-old girls, Justine Agbenu and Maame Dwomoh, on October 12, 2024.
According to highly placed police sources, the police presence at the hospital is to facilitate his arrest once his condition improves. The police are being cautious due to the intense public interest in the case and have assured that justice will prevail.
It’s worth noting that Prophet Salifu Amoako and his wife, Mouha Amoako, have already been arrested and charged by the Ghana Police Service for allowing their 16-year-old son to drive without a license. They’re scheduled to reappear in court on October 30, 2024.
The accident occurred when Elrad, driving a Jaguar SUV, rammed into a 4×4 Acura vehicle, resulting in both cars catching fire and burning beyond recognition.
Three occupants of the Acura vehicle were rescued, while two unfortunately lost their lives. The suspect driver and his occupant were also rescued and are currently receiving medical attention.
