Leaders of Network For Assin Development, an NGO, is calling on the two dominant political parties in Ghana, NPP AND NDC to render an apology to the people of Assin North.
According to the group, they noticed how the political parties have show interest from both parties with regards to the upcoming bye election.The group Stated that Since the seat became topic none of the above mentioned Political party leaders visited the people of Assin North.

The people in the Municipality continue to struggle and suffer because of the deplorable nature of most parts of the area.
We are also calling on all the Traditional Authorities within municipality not to partake in the upcoming bye elections to register their displeasure about the neglect of the area by politicians.
The Political parties have taken Assin North for granted for too long. The by-election follows the orders of the Supreme Court ordering parliament to expunge James Gyaakye Quayson’s name from the records of parliament, creating an opportunity for a new representative to step into the role.
Following the decision, constituents are currently showing displeasure about the lack of empathy towards them which is why the Network is assuring them that they are solidly behind them.
They should not show up for the elections.
