DO NOT POLITICISE GALAMSEY FIGHT- AFAG.
The Alliance for Accountable Governance (AFAG ) has called on politicians not to policized the fight against galamsey else we would not make any headway, if we continue to do NPP , NDC with the situation.
Addressing the media on wednesday, General Secretary for AFAG, Arnold Boateng , stated emphatically that it would take a collective effort to deal with the menace since the issue in discussion involve politicians, chiefs , religious bodies and the citizenry.
According to Arnold Boateng, they as a group do not against anyone going on demonstration as it has been constitionally guarantee, however, after the demonstration what next, will the water bodies be clean? since the demonstration only create awareness of the situation.
AFAG is therefore calling on all the political parties to sign a pact for a road map to tackle the menace if voted into power, so that the citizens can hold them accountable.
