DISABILITY PERSON ADVISED COLLEAGUES TO LEARN TO EMBRACE OPPORTUNITIES
Following the recent opportunities available for Entrepreneurs and small business start-ups, Persons with Disabilities have been advised to embrace this new opportunity either from the government or Civil Society organizations to be able to achieve their goals in life.
Founder of Nichosoft IT Solutions and Winner of the African Street MBA business Pitch, Nicholas Donkor said this at a just-intended ceremony where he emerged as the winner of the business Pitch with a seed of 10,000.00 and another incentive to support his IT Solutions with the vision of creating more enabling environment for the youth in the country especially Persons with Disability.
According to him, disability is an inability therefore PWDs must endeavor to involve themselves with this new intervention by government and NGOs such that the notion of society undermining them would be a thing of the past.
Chairman of the African Street MBA initiative, King A. Wellington stated that the African Street MBA is an integrated business support for start-ups, and young entrepreneurs especially those from rural communities with less educational background, and mentors them.
According to him, research conducted by the organization noted that unemployment is a high rate in the country, and also unavailability of funds to support young entrepreneurs whereby over 90% of young entrepreneurs are unable to rise due to funds.
With this, the African Street MBA was established to deepen business knowledge among the youth in Ghana.
