December Elections: Task Force vows to Ensure Violence-Free Voting
The Election Security Task Force has met with the Electoral Commission of Ghana ahead of the 2024 elections, reaffirming their commitment to maintaining peace and order.
Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akufo Dampare, briefed the media after the meeting, stating that the task force will “stop at nothing” to ensure peace and stability before, during, and after the elections. “We will leave no stone unturned in finding perpetrators who refuse to abide by the law and make them face the full force of the law,” Dr. Dampare warned.
He urged Ghanaians to respect the law and participate in the upcoming voter exhibition exercise, a crucial step in ensuring the integrity of the electoral process.
“I implore all Ghanaians to take a keen interest in the voter exhibition exercise, a fundamental right of every citizen above 18 years,” Dr. Dampare emphasized.
The Election Security Task Force is determined to ensure a peaceful and secure environment for the 2024 elections.
