December 7 Polls: Election Security TaskForce Meets NPP, NDC*
IGP of Police has met with the both NPP and NDC.
The National Election Security Task Force led by the Inspector General of Police has met with the both NPP and NDC to put in security measures and road diversion ahead of their final rallies tomorrow
addressing the media today the public affairs director of the Ghana Police Grace Ansah Akrofi said, the IGP together with the political parties visited the venues to inspect both places before the final rallies take place tomorrow.
she said, they walked the various locations to look for assess route to make sure that they can coordinate the movements of the supporters of the 2 rallies without any security hitches.
According to her, the Police had a brief meeting with party to discuss the need to put in place some road diversion and road block to help direct their support without any difficulties.
she said both parties representatives where happy by the police for putting such arrangements for them, the parties expressed their commitment to work with their supporters to know the security measures put in place.
she added the police will deploy sufficient men on the grounds to ensure that there will be no hitches at all
Both parties will have their final rallies tomorrow.
the NPP will hold its rally at the Legon sports stadium whiles the NDC will hold its rally at Madina Zura park.
