Ghana has reaffirmed its commitment to fighting human trafficking, child labor, and other forms of exploitation.
According to funder and Oprational director of Rescue live foundation International Chief Calistus Elozieuwa says, the country has made significant strides in addressing these issues, particularly through the enactment of the Human Trafficking Act of 2005 (Act 694) and its amendments.
The Act prohibits human trafficking, prescribes punishments for offenders, and provides measures for the rescue, rehabilitation, and reintegration of victims. Additionally, the Human Trafficking Prohibition Regulations 2015 (L.I. 2219) were passed to provide guidelines for the effective implementation of Act 694.

The ministry has also developed a comprehensive strategy to support the effective implementation of Act 694, covering areas of prevention, protection, prosecution, and partnership.
