The CEO of Ikeson Herbal Hospital Center, Dr. Griffin Nana Quabena, has called on the government to establish herbal departments in various hospitals across the country to boost the herbal industry. He made this appeal during a health walk organized by Ikeson Herbal Hospital.
According to Dr. Quabena, herbal medicine is critical to Ghana’s socio-economic development and the future of Africa. He urged policymakers to pay attention to the sector and invest in herbal medicine.
Dr. Quabena also appealed to the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) to speed up its processes to ensure the growth of the industry. The herbal industry plays a critical role in Ghana’s development.
