Christian Divine Church has debunked rumors touted by critics over the celebration of the 65th anniversary of the church.
Speaking in an interview on Takoradi based Connect FM, the secretary for the anniversary planning committee, Carl Ekow Dadzie, said that the untruth being marketed by some media houses of the anniversary being cancelled was baseless and unfounded.
He said that plans are still underway plans and all necessary arrangements are being made to ensure a successful celebration adding that no court has ordered that the anniversary be halted as reported by some.
“You see, there are some people within us who will stand up against everything that the leadership of the church decides to do because of some personal fracas they have with members of the church’s leadership board. We want them to know that whatever issues they have, has nothing to do with the anniversary and they cannot stop it for any reason”, he averred.
He cautioned that there is no injunction order stopping the celebration of the anniversary and that those members within the church who are fueling the agenda of diverting the attention of others from attending, should desist from pushing such.
He encouraged members to go ahead with their preparations to attend the anniversary celebrations as there is nothing stopping the event from happening.
Ekow Dadzie said that “we have come a long way as a church and gone though a lot within the past few years and will not allow anyone distract the little joy that we have found in the last few weeks. We will celebrate God’s goodness towards his church and will not pay attention to the lies out there.
Let us stand together to do this to glorify God and to hour our great founder, Prophet Apostle John Taylor and his wife Madam Dorcas Tylor who gave themselves up to plant and grow the church.”
He further called on all pastors, leaders and members of the church nationwide to come in their numbers to participate in the festival adding that it promises to be the new dawn the church has waited for in a long while.
