Gomoa Nyanyano salt processing company has threatenes to Demostrate against the Gomoa East district chief executive, hon. Solomon Darko Quam and his engineers over the neglecting the salt producers. The site in which the salt is been processed has now turn to a floodplain area, because there are three major gutters that convey all waters directly to the salt processing site, which makes their work very difficult.
Speaking to ATINKA NEWS reporter SAMUEL NYAMEKYE JNR, The chairman for the NYANYANO SALT PROCESSING COMPANY Mr Emmanuel Mbreye indicated that, they have written series of letters to the Gomoa East Assembly for proper dredging but has yelled no results.
However, some members of the salt association have THREATENED to demonstrate against both the D.C.E and the assembly as a whole.
In conclusion, the ANKOBEAHENE of Gomoa Nyanyano Nana Ayi – Quaye, has also tasked the government to come to aid the salt industry. He added that anytime it rains at Kasoa and it’s environs, the salt site gets flooded, because there’s no proper drainage system around the site. The lagoon it’s need proper dredging.
