Drivers must adhere to road safety’//DSP/ Mrs. Comfort Forkah
Drivers must adhere to the road safety regulations to ensure sanity on the roads, DSP/ Mrs. Comfort Forkah, Commanding Officer Tasano, MTTD said, a road safety advocate, has stated with all Yango drivers in Accra, Ghana.
“Members of the public, especially drivers, must abide by the road safety regulation by avoiding speeding, wrongful overtaking, driving under the influence of alcohol and fatigue driving,” he added.
DSP/ Mrs. Comfort Forkah, Commanding Officer Tasano, MTTD, gave the advice when stated that most of the recorded road crashes in the country were as a result of human error and not abiding by the safety regulations.
She stressed the need to educate the public on road safety issues to ensure that lives and properties were saved.
“As part of our efforts to help improve road safety along the Ghana police officers on Road Safety, we work with a lot of online drivers app including Yango Ghana and national stakeholders to conduct research on pressing road safety related issues and advise,” DSP/ Mrs. Comfort Forkah, Commanding Officer Tasano, MTTD added.
According to CEO of The Truth Yango Ghana Mr. Mohammed Ayaba, commended the Tasano Police Service for their contribution in ensuring that lives were protected even at the expense of their own lives. He urged them to use the vests for their intended purpose and maintain them well to expand their lifespan.
The Yango Ghana CEO Mr. Mohammed Ayaba who is the leader of the Yango Ghana commended Tasano MTTD police officers for their gesture. He assured management of the Tasano MTTD that the advice would be used for its intended purpose.
