GROUP CALLS FOR THE ABOLISHMENT OF BORDERS IN AFRICA
“Africans Rising,” an NGO recognized by AU, has called on the various governments in Africa to consider abolishing borders in Africa to enhance the free movement of person’s on the continent.
The group believes making Africa Borderless is the surest ways of uniting the continent and bringing everyone together to boost trade and investment and unity as well.
This came up when “Africans Rising” Group the launched the “Africa Liberation Week” to commemorate the celebration of the AU Day on the 25th of May.
Speaking during the press conference, the Movement Coordinator for the Africans Rising, Hardi Yakubu stressed that, the issues as a united front.

Its African Liberation Day commemoration brings thousands of Africans home and abroad on the same platform connected by the same desire to see a peaceful, just and dignified Africa.
Through a consultative, grassroots-led, innovative process, the movement has created a truly unique way to commemorate the historic moment when Africa almost became a country 6 decades ago. In this way, a strong connection is built between the struggles of the youth and the endearing past of their forebears, from which they must learn.
